About Me
My name is Ryan Rees, I have been playing trumpet for 12 years and during these years I have developed my musical skills, which has allowed me to play at wonderful places and broaden my opportunities for life after school. Playing trumpet has taught me a lot about time management and perseverance. It has improved my mathematics ability, reading and comprehension skills whilst also increasing my memory capacity. And its fun!!
My Music Career
Through my trumpet playing i have played in wonderful venues such as QPAC, Government House, Brisbane City hall, Queen street, and many more. I was also lucky enough to perform with Jason Derulo at the A-league Grand Final pre-show in 2014 at Suncorp Stadium, as well as being able to tour around North Queensland to perform in wonderful venues with the Queensland Youth Orchestra Big Band. I have also been lucky enough to work with musical greats such as James Morrison.
I have completed the AMEB exams and worked up to AMUS.A (Associate in Music, Australia).
